Reconnecting with Nature

Last week, I headed home for some family time.

The weather was warm and sunny so I naturally spent as much time oudoors as possible.
So walk in the forest with my nephew was a must, we picked last few forest berries and wild mushrooms

Verdi/Wagner at Royal Opera House

Two great musical geniuses - Verdi and Wagner, brought together in celebration of 200th anniversary of their birth at the Royal Opera House.

Verdi created some of the most beautiful operas of all times, La Traviata, Aida, Rigoletto and my absolute favourite Nabucco. Wagner's music is more intellectual, combination of both, something magical.
The hour long celebration was filled with performances of pianists, sopranos and tenors and it was incredibly moving. Lunch time well spent, who said Mondays were dull?

If you haven't been yet, it's definitely worth the visit: http://www.roh.org.uk/events

Notting Hill Carnival

Notting Hill Carnival is Europe's biggest street festival in swanky Kensington and Chelsea part of London.

Almost 1 million people have filled the streets to party to Reggae, R&B, Funk, Calypso, and House music joining stunning samba dancers and steal drummers.

It was introduced in the 60s by West London's Afro-Caribbean community and will be celebrating its 50th anniversary next year!

It is definitely a celebration of London's multi-cultural diversity, see it for yourself.

Black Cat Cabaret, Cafe de Paris, London

Last night I went to CafĂ© de Paris to see the "Black Cat Cabaret" show and absolutely loved it. Great ambiance, fantastic variety of different performances with a good flavour of vintage French, the venue fitted perfectly for the sexy, dark and thoroughly entertaining show. If you like Moulin Rouge, you must see this London's hidden gem.

Will I visit again? Definitely.

My Trusted Homemade Hair Oil Treatment

Winter takes its toll on our skin and hair, leaving them dry and weak so weekly deep treatment on your hair is a must! The only thing that I’ve found that really nourishes and moisturises my dry hair is my trusted homemade hot oil treatment, which has become a part of my weekly beauty routine. This little miracle worker is very low-cost and super rich in antioxidants and amino acids. If your hair is dry, damaged, or just in serious need of a pick-me-up, try the following:

What To Do: Add few spoons of Avocado, Argan and Coconut oil and mix it together in a small bowl.
